Downey Duck Woodcock Creek Lake

Placidly resting amidst gently rolling hills, Woodcock Creek Lake complements the tranquil rural countryside of central Crawford County. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you to visit the project and exchange the hectic sights and sounds of the city for the serene vistas and relaxed atmosphere of Woodcock Creek Lake.

The lake is small and shallow with an average depth of less than 30 feet.

Check in at the Resource Manager's Office at the dam.

What To See

Woodcock Creek Lake is one of the smaller but more productive reservoirs in the Pittsburgh District. The lake contains good numbers of walleye, bass, and muskellunge. Panfish species include crappie, yellow perch, bluegill, and bullhead. The tailwaters are easily accessible and are also stocked seasonally with trout by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission.

The average depth of the lake is about 15 feet and the maximum depth is about 44 feet.

Rates

There is no "entry fee" to dive the lake.
