leadership level course that will teach you how to instruct students effectively.
It also divelops individuals in water skills needed to be capable instructors.
Assistant Instructor certification is a highly recommended step in the progression
to Instructor. Qualifications Of GraduatesAn Assistant Instructor
is qualified to assist instructors in all phases of dive training, and teach Discover
Scuba and Skin Divers independently. Additional training or experience is
to be obtained by the Assistant Instructor who desires to assist in highly specialized
training activities, such as deep, wreck penetration, cavern or ice dives. An
Assistant Instructor can be counted toward student-instructor ratios.
Program Description Individual study, seminars, in water sessions and
hands-on teaching of actual students (under supervision). Experience with Open
Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Advanced Plus programs and Rescue Diver classes.
