Lembeh Strait in the northern Sulawesi area of Indonesia is known world-wide for its marine biodiversity in general and its critter, or "muck" diving in particular. Much of the diving is done in areas that have black, sandy, barren-looking areas; it's astonishing how much life is hiding there in plain sight yet is so difficult to see without the expertise of a local guide. If you like the challenge of finding new and amazing fish and critters under easy diving conditions, you'll love Lembeh Strait!

You will stay at the Lembeh Resort, 14 cottages set in beautifully landscaped tropical gardens overlooking Lembeh Strait. Each spacious cottage has a veranda with a magnificent view, air conditioning, open air showers, mini-bar, and personal safe. You will dive with Lembeh Divers in a small guided group. Three boat dives each day are scheduled; most dive sites are minutes away; it's easy to return to the resort between dives to hit the head and have a snack and something to drink. The shore diving right in front of the resort is very good, where the Mandarin fish usually do their mating routines around 5:15pm each evening. Along with easy diving, Lembeh Divers have excellent facilities for photographers.

Singapore Air will fly you from LA nonstop to Singapore, then on Silk Air to Manado, Indonesia; you will arrive at Lembeh Resort after a 1 ½ hour scenic drive.
